Recent Release "Slices of Time," from Covenant Books Author Mike Alan Smiddy, Explores Ordinary Yet Unforgettable Moments That Give Life Its Richest Meaning

Mineral Wells, TX, September 01, 2026 --(PR.com)-- Mike Alan Smiddy has completed a new book, "Slices of Time," which invites readers to discover the power of life's small yet significant moments. Rather than focusing solely on turning points, this reflective work celebrates the memorable events—those vivid snapshots of experience—that fill the space between major milestones and provide texture, emotional depth, and authentic color to our existence. These are the stories that illuminate how we got from one pivotal chapter to the next, painting a fuller picture of the journey itself.

With a distinguished career spanning forty-five years in law and nine years serving as Palo Pinto County Judge, Smiddy brings a lifetime of observation and wisdom to his writing. Born and raised in Texas with roots tracing back to before the Republic of Texas, he has long understood the importance of preserving personal narratives. His first book, "Pivotal Journey: Texas Roots, Moments, and People," established his voice as a storyteller committed to honoring memory and experience. Now, in this second volume, he deepens that exploration with renewed insight and authenticity.

"Slices of Time" examines what transforms a simple memory into something enduring: a word-picture that transcends the limitations of a two-dimensional photograph. Through candid reflection, readers will discover how writing down our cherished recollections strengthens them, how life's ups and downs combine to create something beautiful, and how their own stories deserve the same careful attention and celebration. The overarching message resonates with profound optimism: despite all its challenges, life remains pretty great.

"In writing these slices of time, I was really talking to myself," said Smiddy. "But I realized that the journey itself brings more joy than the final product ever could. I hope these stories help others travel back to moments when their hearts were full of hope and possibilities seemed limitless."

Published by Covenant Books, Mike Alan Smiddy's introspective work offers readers a companion for their own reflective journeys. These pages will inspire you to pause, remember, and cherish the ordinary-yet-extraordinary moments that have shaped your life.

Readers who wish to experience this uplifting work can purchase "Slices of Time" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
