Recent Release, "Prison Planet," from Christian Faith Publishing Author Jim Dustin, Brings Action-Packed Science Fiction Thrills Beyond Earth

Walden, CO, October 23, 2026 --(PR.com)-- Jim Dustin has completed a new book, "Prison Planet": The Dangerous Voyages: Book 2, which plunges readers into a world of treacherous expeditions and unexpected confrontations. Elinorra Motz embarks on what she believes is a straightforward rescue mission down the Principal River, intent on saving two hundred of her fellow exiles from peril. Her expedition takes a harrowing turn when she discovers a devastated encampment where her former companions have fallen victim to a ferocious pack of remarkably intelligent reptiles. Before she can process this tragedy, a warship materializes on the horizon and unleashes an assault on her flotilla, igniting a conflict between the small nation of Altura and a colossal empire of ninety thousand inhabitants that has dominated the Bak Sea for a thousand years.

Dustin's background as a decorated journalist and small-town newspaper editor informs his meticulous storytelling and character development. Having earned his journalism degree in Missouri and subsequently managing a mountain community newspaper for fourteen years, he brings authenticity and narrative depth to his fiction. His previous works, including the acclaimed collections "Logical Conclusions" and "Stories of Startlement," demonstrate his talent for crafting gripping narratives that resonate with audiences seeking both entertainment and substance.

In "Prison Planet," readers will discover the explosive revelation that the Alturans possess—intelligence that could fundamentally alter the balance of power across the Bak Sea. The novel explores themes of survival, courage against overwhelming odds, and the resilience required to face both natural and man-made threats. What unfolds is a suspenseful chronicle of warfare, betrayal, and hope as a vastly outnumbered civilization fights for its existence against an ancient empire, all while harboring secrets that could reshape their world.

"This second installment in The Dangerous Voyages series demanded that I dig deeper into the motivations of my characters and the consequences of their choices," said Dustin. "I wanted readers to experience not just the spectacle of conflict, but the profound human drama beneath it."

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Jim Dustin's imaginative work transports readers into vividly realized worlds where ordinary people must confront extraordinary challenges. The narrative captures the essence of epic science fiction while maintaining an intimate focus on individual courage and determination.

Readers who wish to experience this enthralling work can purchase "Prison Planet" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
