Novovision Debuts NovoPath™ Secondary Report Interface Module

Princeton, NJ, August 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Novovision, Inc., a leading information technology provider for anatomic pathology (AP) laboratories, announces a secondary report interface module for its advanced NovoPath™ AP lab workflow management, specimen tracking and reporting platform. The new module attaches supportive information from a wide range of popular lab solutions to NovoPath patient files and seamlessly integrates this into new, comprehensive NovoPath AP reports. Examples include outside consults, image analysis and FISH reports.

The new module supports solutions from such vendors as Ventana and Access Genetics and formats ranging from PDF and JPEG to DICOM. The comprehensive NovoPath reports can be printed and faxed as well as directly transmitted into an electronic medical record (EMR) system to cater to every referring physician’s communications preference.

According to Wally Soufi, Novovision CEO, “With today’s growing number of AP-related tests, referring physicians prefer the easy analysis and streamlined workflow of a single comprehensive report for all related patient results. Our new NovoPath module can give labs of any size a marketing edge by meeting this demand.”

Soufi also points out that numerous AP labs are offering quantitative and related tests to provide an enhanced level of report accuracy and that these may provide new sources of lab revenue. “This new module is part of our ongoing commitment to meeting evolving AP lab needs and keeping NovoPath in the forefront of technology,” he notes.
