)-- The environmental conditions during pre-treatment and application of a coating system are major factors affecting the long-term performance of coatings on steel structures. The redesigned PosiTector Dew Point Meter measures and records climatic parameters including relative humidity, air temperature, surface temperature, dew point temperature and the difference between surface and dew point temperatures. Ideal for surface preparation as required by ISO 8502-4 and ASTM D3276.
New features include larger, easy-to-read backlit display; Smart Trend™ Indicators to identify rising, falling or stable readings; a unique Graph Mode to chart all 5 parameters for quick analysis; and increased memory capacity to store up to 2500 datasets in 100 batches.
In addition, the PosiTector DPM easily converts to accept various optional K-type probes including magnetic and hand-held surface temperature probes. The optional Magnetic Surface Temperature Kit allows the instrument and a surface temperature probe to be conveniently attached onto steel structures – for hands free recording. Ideal for unattended operation to record climatic trends.
DeFelsko manufactures a large number of quality instruments including the PosiTector 6000, PosiTest DFT and PosiTector 200 series of coating thickness gages. The simple, durable and accurate PosiTector 6000 Series and PosiTest DFT are ideal for measuring coating thickness on all metal substrates while the PosiTector 200 series use ultrasonic technology to easily and accurately measure coatings on non-metals including wood, concrete and more. Also featured are the Digital PosiTest Adhesion Tester and the PosiTector Ultrasonic Thickness Gage ideal for measuring remaining wall thickness.
