Chopstix Chinese Restaurant to Offer Beijing Olympic Games Special

Chopstix, an Atlanta Chinese restaurant, is showing the Beijing Olympic Games and offering a special gourmet menu for the duration.

Atlanta, GA, August 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Atlanta residents without a flight to the games are getting a taste of Beijing cuisine in Buckhead’s upscale Chinese restaurant, Chopstix Gourmet Restaurant. A special menu was created for guests to enjoy while watching the Olympic Games and dining in the private party room and bar area. The authentic menu will be available though the Closing Ceremony. After more than two decades in business, Chopstix owners Alvin Yin and Philip Chan are still eager to provide their customers exciting dining options such as this pairing of the world’s greatest sports entertainment and a complimentary food experience.

The Atlanta Chinese dining favorite invites area residents to enjoy the Olympics in style this summer. The Buckhead area restaurant is providing a specialty food and drink menu during the Beijing Olympic Games in order to provide patrons with a unique experience pairing the restaurant’s Chinese food and the Olympic Games’ celebration of Chinese culture. Chopstix is already well known as one of Atlanta’s favorite Chinese restaurants, having received many awards from local and national publications, and has been an integral part of the Buckhead neighborhood for over twenty years. The establishment’s owners want to try something new to commemorate the Olympic Games being held in China, and to bring a little bit of Beijing to Atlanta.

Chopstix is screening the games in its bar and elegant private dining room, where guests are not only served the restaurant’s regular mix of innovative and traditional Chinese fare, but are also be able to sample Beijing-style dishes specially prepared for the event. Additionally, the restaurant’s bar has expanded its drink menu to include some different Asian cocktails complimenting the special offerings from the kitchen, such as a cantaloupe martini.

The promotion has the restaurant’s owners buzzing as much as the patrons. Alvin Yin is especially excited about the opportunity to do something new for his customers through this dining opportunity. “On an occasion as special as the Beijing Olympic Games, it only makes sense to have an event as great as this one. We’ve never gotten a chance like this to bring this excellent regional food to Atlanta and serve it in such a great setting.”

This special event will run until the Closing Ceremony at the games’ conclusion, and promises to be a unique experience, standing out from the crowd in Buckhead’s extensive restaurant scene. This summer, Chopstix’s corner of the Chastain Square shopping center will be as close to the Chinese Olympic Games as most Atlantans will get, and it promises to be an event of both cultural and culinary significance.
