Y explore Announces Fall Schedule of Photography Workshops

Leading Photography Service Provider Plans Photo Sessions in Yosemite National Park.

Yosemite National Park, CA, September 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Y explore’s faculty of professional photographers will lead autumn photography field sessions in Yosemite National Park from September through November of 2009. Three programs will highlight the fall season: Yosemite Changing Seasons Masters Photo Workshops, Yosemite Valley Icons Photo Sessions, and The Icons of the High Sierra Photo Seminars. Instructional classes will cover topics including depth of field, hyper focal distance, exposure techniques, metering, the zone system, white balance and composition while capturing images from some of the most spectacular vista points in the world.

Phil Schermeister will direct the Changing Seasons Yosemite Masters Photo Workshops on October 13th and 15th. Working with Yosemite's spectacular geography and distinctive setting, participants will explore a variety of photographic techniques while working with light, color, form, and motion to create works of photographic art. National Geographic photographer Phil Schermeister will help photographers create visually unique images of many of Yosemite's outstanding features and teach them how to work with water and other natural features. Seminars will take place in Yosemite Valley and other areas of the park.

Walter Flint and Robb Hirsch will each separately lead several other exciting specialty programs throughout the fall. The Yosemite Valley Icons Tour will visit some of the vistas that established Carleton Watkins and a select group of artists as the great landscape photographers of their time. This tour will focus on a number of locations from which these icons photographed Yosemite Valley. Yosemite Icons of the High Sierra Photo Sessions afford romantic grandeur to those who wish to enroll. Like Yosemite Valley, the High Sierra has lured many a photographer, captivating them, and inspiring a greater enlightenment. For a limited time, the Icons of the High Sierra Tour will visit locations that will encapsulate the greater High Sierra. If conditions permit, evening alpenglow will blanket the Sierra crest and provide a vibrant, luminous scene even after the sun has dropped below the horizon. Workshops are open to individuals and groups of all ages and experience levels.
