Comic Collector Live Opens Live Market Buying and Selling

Now there's a new place online to buy and sell comic books and to organize a collection. Comic Collector Live is now open for ecommerce. The system has already registered 36 thousand members and boasts a wish list of over 400 thousand Issues.

Nashville, TN, June 24, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Live Market is finally here. Comic Collector Live, the free service for comic book collectors to organize, catalogue, appraise and build a wish list announces the launch of its live buying and selling.

The Comic Collector Live website and free software which launched its organizing software at the New York Comic Con in late February, has attracted thousands of comic book enthusiasts and boasts a growing wish list of over 400 thousand issues.

Creator of CCL, Joe Butler, says the Live Market component is a dream come true for buyers and sellers. “With our system members can set up a store and be up and running their ‘businesses’ within minutes. Buyers can simply go to www.comiccollectorlive.com and easily search for their favorite comic books. The Comic Collector Live development team has gone to great lengths to make this the ultimate system for organizing, buying, and selling,” says Butler.

Butler created CCL for a number of reasons. First and foremost was his love of comic books and his desire to see the industry advance. He wanted to create a system where users could organize, group, track by artist, inker, story arc and more, and all with a click of the mouse. “I had looked at other software for collectors but there were so many features that seemed to be missing,” says Butler. “I wanted users to be able to access our massive database, be involved in an active community, and at the same time be able to fill the holes in their collections with a buy/sell component that was really cool. And that’s what we’ve created with Comic Collector Live.”

CCL is also getting raves from comic book retailers who can use the system to sell excess inventory. For large volume sellers there is one low monthly price allowing for unlimited insertions.

Buyers and sellers will also benefit from the national advertising and marketing campaign for Comic Collector Live. Dave Macy, Marketing Director for MidTen Media, Inc. (the parent company) says the second half of 2007 should bring record growth for CCL. “We’ll be appearing in DC comics, BOOM Indies, and WIZARD Magazine in July and beyond, and we’ll have a presence at the International Comic Con in San Diego. And of course we are doing a lot of viral marketing, all of which should put Comic Collector Live at the forefront of the comic book industry.”

Comic Collector Live has also signed on to be the premier sponsor of the limited release of the 75th anniversary King Kong comic book series.

The six issue series is scheduled for release of its first comic book in October and will feature a major press event at Jim Hanley’s Universe across from the Empire State Building in Manhattan in November. The Comic Collector Live logo will appear on the front cover of every issue of the King Kong series.
