Voices.com Voice Talent Celebrates Audiobook Month with 30+ Spoken Freely Narrators

Rachel Fulginiti is participating in a special month long series with Spoken Freely in Going Public...in Shorts. A part of the APA's June is Audiobook month celebrations.

Los Angeles, CA, July 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- It's the 16th Annual June is Audiobook Month. In association with Spoken Freely, a group of 30+ professional narrators, Voices.com voice-over artist, Rachel Fulginiti, will be making her contribution narrating a piece from Death and the Woman, by Gertrude Atherton.

"I loved the dark tone and the descriptive writing. I tend to be drawn to mystery/suspense and it felt like there was so much going on under the surface in this piece," says Fulginiti. "From the outside, it's just a woman sitting at her husband's death bed - but we get to see the inner workings of her mind - how the mind can play tricks on you, the psychology of it all...and I think the writing is so beautiful. It stayed with me for days after I first read it."

On June 19th, 2013 a sample of Fulginiti's read can be listened to on The Voiceover Boblog.

The full collection of stories will be available for purchase beginning June 30th through Blackstone Audio. One hundred percent of the proceeds go directly to Reach Out and Read, an innovative literacy advocacy organization serving more than 4 million children and their families across America, with an emphasis on serving those in low-income communities.

Going Public...in Shorts is made possible by the efforts of the Spoken Freely narrators and many others who donated their time and energy to bring it to fruition.

June is Audiobook Month (JIAM) originated with the Audio Publishers Association in an effort to spread the word about audiobooks. Having recently returned from the APAC and Audie Awards gala, Fulginiti reflects that it "...is a wonderful time. A chance to celebrate the industry and to actually see (or meet!) all the people you work with throughout the year in person. Audiobook folks are some of the nicest people on earth."
