Next Generation Interactive Services Launch on SecureNet Platform

Hosted software platform provides home automation services and web-based service management for alarm providers and end users.

Longwood, FL, October 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- SecureNet today announced new capabilities of the SecureNet Platform, the first comprehensive system to combine alarm transport and interactive services in a single, enterprise-class platform.

The SecureNet Platform not only provides all necessary central station services as a hosted solution, but also enables consumers to access new, interactive capabilities, including home automation, video monitoring, environment control, energy management, and event notification.

Additionally, the platform gives alarm service providers a simplified and streamlined system for account management. For the first time, service providers can manage customers using a single web portal tied directly into the automation software used by the central monitoring station, allowing for real-time account creation, one-time data entry, fully-integrated billing, and additional back office benefits.

The platform includes a customer facing web-based portal and a mobile app, customized to an alarm dealer’s individual branding. The web portal and apps allow residential and business customers to log in and update their personal information, set notifications, test their alarm, or upgrade to include additional services. The system tracks all changes on behalf of dealers, including the user’s event history and any changes the user makes to their own information via the web portal.

The SecureNet Platform communicates directly with central monitoring stations, without the need for a NOC or a clearinghouse of any kind.

“A single, hosted solution for both alarm monitoring services and home automation management brings a new level of transparency, accuracy, and speed to all the services offered by central monitoring stations and alarm providers,” said Andrew Wilson, chief executive officer of SecureNet. “The industry has long anticipated this kind of technology breakthrough. We are pleased our partners can benefit from this first-mover advantage.”

Created using a mixture of new and existing SecureNet technologies and the worldwide infrastructure supporting the existing global services offered by SecureNet, the platform operates from fifteen locations in multiple countries.

The platform is offered as either a traditional on-premise solution or as a hosted service.
