)-- Polaris Health Directions, Inc., is pleased to announce that it has recently completed a round of financing through an equity sale. The investment reflects a confidence in Polaris’s ability to support the highest quality behavioral health care delivery, particularly as the health care industry evolves towards the integration of mind and body care.
“The Affordable Care Act provides an opportunity for Polaris to play a leading role in the integration of medical and behavioral health treatments,” said Dr. Grant Grissom, chief of research and co-founder of Polaris. “This financing will enable us to take full advantage of those opportunities with our broad range of solutions for patients in behavioral health settings, and for those with serious, chronic medical conditions.”
The new capital is facilitating Polaris’s efforts to expand its commercialization activities and enhance its current portfolio of solutions for the medical and behavioral health care outcomes market. Polaris’s product line includes scientifically validated cloud-based systems for the assessment, reporting and monitoring of psychosocial and behavioral health issues in a variety of health care settings.
The investment has also led to the hiring of new staff, including the appointment of Mark A. Anthony as CEO, to support the growing number of clients and product implementations.
“This is another major step forward for Polaris, allowing us to continue to grow and expand our impact in behavioral health,” said Martin Nankin, principal and co-founder. “The investment round will help us extend our reach within the health care system to support the delivery of better outcomes for treatment and patient well being.”
