Lonely Planet is giving two copies of their Book Review of the Week, The Travel Book to two randomly drawn commenters on this week's book review. on

This week's book review is on Lonely Planet's The Travel Book, and two of these books will be awarded to two randomly drawn commenters. Comments may only be left by registered users. The Travel Book is a Huge resource with over 1200 illustrations, 444 pages, covering 230 countries. It is a "subjective 'Lonely Planet' view of the world which gets under the skin of the place, showing a slice of life in every single country in the orld...evoking the spirit of the place by focusing on the senses."
Each country lists the best time to visit; essential experiences; getting under the skin: read, watch, eat, and drink; in a word; trademarks; and surprises.

"At we are looking to expose people to travel and global cultures," said co-publisher Ed Forteau. "My wife and I created this site as a gathering place where educators could share travel experiences, while learning from others. Our audience is diverse - travelers who are k-12 teachers, homeschoolers, students, higher education professors and administrators, and life learners - all are welcome!"
