York Harbor, ME, October 03, 2008 --(PR.com)-- This past year, Stage Neck Inn expanded their guest amenities to include a full-service, onsite spa facility, The Spa at Stage Neck. Body and nail therapies, massage, and Reiki services offered at The Spa are now available to area residents and visitors as well. “A great bonus to the community of having The Spa in the Inn is that you may combine your desired spa treatment with use of our Indoor Pool and Jacuzzi, sauna or fitness room,” says resort owner Mark Foster. The spa is conveniently located adjacent to these resort amenities, but has been designed and engineered to be a tranquil and serene retreat from the hustle and bustle.

At the entrance of The Spa is a soothing waterfall which sets the tone of the Spa. Spa facilities include a large treatment room suitable for couple’s massage, a smaller treatment room in which the thermal body treatments are offered, and the nail spa. Relaxation and comfort are a primary focus. Massage tables are outfitted with heated mattress pads, flannel sheets and chenille blankets. Aromatherapy is achieved through the natural essential oils in the products used rather through perfumes, incense or candles.

Carla Bashaw is director of The Spa and brings to the business a dedication to customer satisfaction for which she’s become well-known at her other spa facility, Genesis Day Spa, Ogunquit. In the four short years that Carla’s been operating Genesis, she’s taken the business from unknown to being named Number One Spa in York County in the annual “Best of the Best” competition presented by the York County Coast Star.

Carla has been an instructor in massage therapy at McIntosh College. Through that association she has been able to hand-pick the school’s finest students to come and work with her. Other massage therapists serving The Spa at Stage Neck are Christine (Assistant Spa Director), CJ, Jessie, Jodi, Darci, Kelli, Athena and Sheila. Each massage therapist brings his or her own unique skills, but each is focused on maintaining a high level of relaxation for the client. Rounding out The Spa staff are Patti and Lisa who are nail technicians. The Spa staff brings you nearly 55 years’ of combined spa experience.

“The partnership of Stage Neck Inn and Genesis Day Spa is a natural one, as both businesses are focused on the ultimate satisfaction of our guests. You will feel very welcomed in our spa. Here, you can enjoy some thermal body treatments that have previously been unavailable in this area.

Body treatments feature products by Dermalogica, the number one selling professional skin care line in the world. Our Champagne and Roses body treatment features Keyano products. Nail care products are by Creative Nail Design and Essie. We offer these products for sale to the public,” says Carla. “We welcome you to call The Spa and make an appointment, even if it’s just to come and tour our facilities.”

You’ll discover there are many ways to relax and renew your body at The Spa at Stage Neck. Enjoy the resort’s indoor pool before or after your spa treatment. While The Spa offers an intimate, personal-spa atmosphere, a wide range of services are available from manicures and massage to more unusual thermal and skin-nourishing body treatments. A menu of spa services is available at the Inn’s front desk, The Spa, or online at: www.TheSpaAtStageNeck.com
