About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

A physician’s greatest skill is not her ability to make keen diagnoses. Her greatest asset is her ability to hide. Not just behind the white coat, where even the most predatory lawyer fears to tread. The safest place a physician has to hide is her mind. Who would dare to follow her there.

Two young physicians in training. A patient on the brink of death. A senior physician bent on using an untested medical procedure. At a page-turning clip, Michael R. Collins, author of The Hero Myth Revisited, draws on his own medical background and experience to give us a glimpse into the darker side of human nature. With stark realism, his latest work, Kindle Effect, takes us where no other author has dared to tread before, and leaves us breathless with anticipation for his next novel.

Deftly constructed at 553 pages, Kindle Effect: A Medical Thriller, Special Edition is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Fiction/Suspense category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Kindle Effect meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $15.95.
