The Golden State Chapter Forms as the Newest Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America

Los Angeles, CA, November 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The four California chapters of the Club Managers Association of America have joined together as one. It is therefore with considerable excitement that they announce that they are now The Golden State Chapter.

At an organizational meeting on October 2, 2008, members of the former Chapters met to begin the work of solidifying the merger. The Golden State Chapter membership is comprised of four regions: Northern California, Southern California, Roadrunner, and San Diego.

Education will be a paramount portion of the New Year as the chapter moves to provide opportunities to enhance learning experiences at the state level as well as regional locations.

Fundraising will also be an important facet of The Golden State Chapter. It is the chapter’s goal to continue to provide support for those organizations who have been the beneficiaries over the years of the regional efforts. An important part of the merger was to assure that the new Golden State Chapter would be able to increase its charitable contributions, as well as to increase scholarships to students who support the efforts of the chapter.
