T-Shirt Design Contest at Casa Yallaha, the Bridge Street Hostel in St. Augustine, Florida

Everyone's invited to enter a chance to win $100 in the T-Shirt Design Contest for the newest and largest Hostel in Saint Augustine, Florida, Casa Yallaha.

Saint Augustine, FL, November 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Artists, student artists, designers and would be artists are invited to come up with a T-Shirt design for the newest and largest hostel in St. Augustine Florida, Casa Yallaha. Participants entering the contest have a chance to win $100, their signature on the T-shirts and recognition on their website, casayallaha.com.

Some ideas for the design might include the history of the hostel, features of the hostel, historic location in the Oldest City, some of the local people and local attractions. You can find some of this information on their website.

From their research, the house was built in 1880 as part of a Plantation with large orange groves. The people that worked in the orange groves were housed here. Further research showed the local Timucuan Indians' name for orange is Yallaha, hence the name Casa Yallaha.

What is a Hostel? Hostels are an incredible alternative to staying in the more expensive motel or hotel. The heart of hostelling is sharing the bedroom (or dormitory), common areas, the kitchen, and the bathrooms. The beds are typically bunk beds. The benefits are you meet locals familiar with the area as well as travellers from all over the world.

Casa Yallaha has a unique large size and location. Hostellers never feel crowded and large groups can be accommodated. The hostel has been beautifully remodeled and features spacious Victorian style rooms with high ceilings, wood floors and big windows. Living or common areas include a big living room with home theater, pool room with pool table, private dining room, huge guest kitchen, covered front porch and spacious back deck. Parking is available. There are four dorm rooms, mixed and female, with brand new bunk beds and new linens. There are several private rooms. The bathrooms have been updated and most rooms have central air conditioning. Dorm rooms are $20.00 + tax per night, Private rooms start at $30.00 + tax per night.

Casa Yallaha is located in the historic St. Augustine district, within walking distance to all the fun. Because it is situated in a residential area, you can enjoy all St. Augustine has to offer day or night then come back to a quiet place for peaceful sleep.
