Outskirts Press Announces Lee and Eli's Quest, the Latest Highly-Anticipated Western Book from Clear Lake, CA Author WC Hargis

Clear Lake, CA, November 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Outskirts Press, Inc. has published Lee and Eli's Quest by WC Hargis, which is the author’s most recent book to date. The 5 x 8 paperback in the Western category is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble for a suggested retail price of $20.95. The webpage at www.outskirtspress.com/leeandelisquest was launched simultaneously with the book’s publication.

About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

The westward movement was a magnet for the down trodden, a young boy escaping the manacles of a dirt farm in Missouri, and a slave escaping from a plantation in Louisiana. The two exhibit unusual courage and resourcefulness as they mature. Lee, a strapping nineteen year old boy in post war Missouri, leaves home with nothing but the clothes on his back and the pistol he stole from his step father. Eli Delacroix, raised in a small cabin on the edge of a swamp in Louisiana, spent his time hunting and fishing with an old Indian friend named Poppy. Eli was nineteen and fair of skin, with brown hair bleached blonde from the sun. Eli's eyes came open. He wasn't sure what woke him up, maybe it was nothing. But as he started to doze back off, he heard it again. It was a long way off, but it put a fear in him like he never had before, and he knew that the sound of those hounds meant they were on his trail again. Eli was really tired, but he knew he couldn't stay here; he had to run for his life now.

Deftly constructed at 352 pages, Lee and Eli's Quest is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Western category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Lee and Eli's Quest meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $20.95.

Additionally, Lee and Eli's Quest can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers for the maximum trade discount price set by the author in quantities of ten or more from the Outskirts Press wholesale online bookstore at www.outskirtspress.com/buybooks
