Latest in Action-Adventure Series Released Discover the Madness of Global Terrorism: How Vulnerable Are We?

San Pedro, CA, December 05, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Outskirts Press author Andrew Rafkin issues a wake-up call to the world in his newest action-adventure release, Mediterranean Madness. This fast-paced novel picks up right where Creating Madness, the first of the Madness trilogy, left off. The series is not only packed with adventure and drama—it also asks the hard questions we are facing in these troubling times of terrorism and threats of biological warfare: How vulnerable are we to global terrorism, and how fragile is our world?

In Mediterranean Madness, a flock of crazed seagulls rips apart a family on vacation at an Adriatic seaside resort. In Italy, fish are biting bathers, and divers are disappearing. Andre Petrov, the president of Ocean Reconnaissance Commission and Associates (ORCA), is called in to investigate these bizarre occurrences. He dispatches Alexis Mikos, ORCA’s head of Mediterranean and Middle East Field and Boat Operations, whose mission is to protect the coasts and harbors of the US and other countries from terrorism, drug trafficking, and environmental threats. The “Med Bug” is just such a threat.

As she sets sail for Genoa, Mikos learns that her longtime flame, Reef Johanssen, is missing after his plane crashed in Argentina. Reef has been following a North Korean terrorist working for Jay Seung Hon, a criminally insane scientist who, along with a wealthy Iranian partner, threatens civilization with biological and nuclear weapons of mass destruction. Hardened mercenaries and the Russian mafia aid in the terrorist cause, and it is up to Alexis and Reef to stem the tide of Mediterranean Madness.
