Durban, South Africa, December 07, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- Durban based car hire company Woodford Car & Bakkie Hire are not holding back in the ongoing competition for car rentals in South Africa. They continue in their determination to gain more market share through conveniently offering car rentals from the airports in all major cities in South Africa. With the recent unveiling of their branches operating from Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth International Airports they are doing just that. This is in addition to the company’s operations from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Not bad for a privately owned Durban based company who are not afraid of taking on the Goliath’s of the car rental industry.
Woodford Managing Director Owais Suleman says, “This is a competitive industry and we have seen it change drastically over the last few years. Our customers rightly expect convenience, quality and service and then of course prices must be reasonable. Well this is the cornerstone of our business and we are constantly finding ways to improve”. Suleman goes on to say, “We’ve been in this business for 17 years now, we listen to our customers and we continue to meet their needs now and in the future.”
The increased exposure of South Africa to foreign markets for business and tourism has resulted in phenomenal growths in the car hire industry and this will only continue to grow with the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and beyond. Suleman says, “This is a clear step forward for us and our expansion to two new provinces is as a result of a need for us to better service our growing customer base. We now operate from the airports in most of South Africa’s major cities.”
Woodford also boasts the ACSA feather award for the Car Rental of the year 2006 and again in 2008, a phenomenal achievement for this privately owned company. The award is judged on an independent survey that uses the following criteria: customer service, customer satisfaction and affordability. So Woodford clearly does take its customers seriously.
Woodford Car & Bakkie Hire was a two-car start-up in 1991 and has evolved into a car fleet that counts over 900 vehicles, that is excluding the growing number of commercial vehicles it owns. The company operates from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and now Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth.
