2009 Running of the Bulls Travel Packages Available as San Fermin Bull Ranches Announced

The eight bull ranches providing toros bravos for the bullfights and bull runs have been announced in Pamplona, Spain. Ludus Tours can provide accommodations and tours to those seeking adventure at the Running of the Bulls.

Austin, TX, February 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- As Ludus Tours gears up for it’s 3rd Annual Pamplona Tours for the Running of the Bulls, the Casa de Misericordia has announced the bull breeds for the 2009 San Fermin bullfights. The San Fermin festival (also known as the Running of the Bulls) takes place July 6th-14th every year, and Ludus Tours is recognized as the industry leader for affordable tour packages to the event.

“Our Pamplona Tours are very reasonably priced,” says Ashley Blake, Director of Events for Ludus. “You wouldn’t be able to put together all the features of the Ludus package, by yourself, for a cheaper price. We do all the planning for you.”

A Running of the Bulls tour package with Ludus starts at 895 euro for three nights. Each package includes a Spanish dinner, a welcome happy hour with tapas, bullfight tickets, a Pamplona walking city tour, and breakfast at Ludus’ VIP balcony with prime viewing of the encierro. The viewing balcony is an important feature for clients who want to see the bull run from a safe distance.

There are eight days of encierros (bull runs) and bullfights. The eight bull ranches that will be represented are: Miura, Herederos de José Cebada Gago, Jandilla, Doña Dolores Aguirre Ybarra, Peñajara, Nuñez del Cuvillo, El Ventorrillo and Fuente Ymbro.

Ludus provides bullfight tickets to the sol side of the arena. This side is usually rowdier and more like a party than the serious sombre side. There are brass marching bands that play during the bullfight. They even play American favorites like “Louie, Louie” and “Livin’ on a Prayer”. Sangria is both drank and sprayed on this side. Patrons enter the arena in the Pamplona traditional white, but leave looking slightly stained red with sangria. You are more likely to meet a local Spaniard and share his sangria and bocadillo (baguette sub sandwich) here. Ludus prefers the sol side because it is more fun!
