Epicurean Ways Brings Spanish Olive Oil Tasting to the Boston Globe Travel Show

Spain culinary travel specialist Epicurean Ways will present a Spanish olive oil tasting session at the Taste for Travel Culinary Presentations taking place at the Boston Globe Travel Show on February 21, 2009.

Charlottesville, VA, February 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Epicurean Ways will bring A Taste of Spanish Olive Oil to the Taste for Travel stage, Europe Pavilion, at the Boston Globe Travel Show, February 20-22, 2009, at the Seaport World Trade Center Complex in Boston.

Epicurean Ways founder Jane Gregg will lead a guided tasting of three distinct Spanish olive oils. Arbequina olive oil comes from Les Garrigues region in Spanish Catalonia. Hojiblanca oil is from the area of Andalucía, in southern Spain, east of Sevilla and south of Córdoba. The third oil is a blend of Picual, Picudo, and Hojiblanca olives from the Priego de Córdoba region of Andalucía, .

Epicurean Ways will also present tastings of the olive oils at the Specialty Travel Agents Association booth during the Travel Show.

Spain is the world's leading producer of olive oil and over 250,000,000 olive trees grow in Spain. Recently, Spanish olive oil producers have been exercising increasing care in producing olive oil, often using natural or organic methods, harvesting by hand, and making single varietal oils.
