The Costa Alegre Educational Center Receives 250 Reusable Grocery Bags from VisitLaManzanilla.com

In a partnership with the Costa Alegre Educational Center, VisitLaManzanilla.com aims to raise funds for educational programs and reduce the number of plastic bags in La Manzanilla, Mexico.

La Manzanilla, Mexico, March 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- In an effort to reduce the number of plastic grocery bags littering the streets, beach and mangrove of La Manzanilla, Mexico, VisitLaManzanilla.com has donated 250 reusable grocery bags to the Costa Alegre Educational Center. The Center will sell the bags for $15 USD each and 100% of the proceeds will go to support the Center’s educational programs.

About The Costa Alegre Education Center- The aim is to create and operate a fully functional educational center that will be sustainable long-term and support personal empowerment through educational advancement of youth and adults in rural areas in the Costa Alegre region. The center will serve as a learning hub where residents can further develop their skills in Mathematics, English, Technology, and the Arts. In addition, courses will be offered to support local business endeavors through small business training. The long term goal is that the culture of education will change in the Costa Alegre and more communities will see the importance and have the means available to improve their lives through educational advancement. The new center is being constructed in La Manzanilla, Jalisco, Mexico, on a 20 x 30 meter lot donated to La Catalina Educational Foundation by the local Ejido government.
