)-- Lately, people have been flipping for the sugar white sand in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Join the excitement, and get social with the Alabama Gulf Coast, which has recently launched three fun and easy social marketing contests. See details at www.thebeachiscalling.org.
Visitors can unleash their budding photographer, and shoot their next vacation to the Alabama Gulf Coast. Then, they can post those great photos to enter the "Show Us Your Best Gulf Shores/Orange Beach Vacation Ever contest". They could win a three-night stay on our sugar white beaches, a Flip Video camera and other great items. They can enter on Facebook, become a fan, and submit a photo or video.
Or if YouTube is more a visitor's style, they can upload a video of their Gulf Shores/Orange Beach vacation to their YouTube account, and send a comment to tell about the video. As long as the video is relevant and decent, it will be added to the contest section on the CVB's YouTube page.
This contest runs March 1, 2009 to August 15, 2009. Then, visitors can keep an eye on their networking page. They just might be the winner.
Participants can increase their chances of winning by entering a second contest: "We Flip for Friends, Fans and Followers". Entering to win a two-night stay and a Flip video camera could not be easier. Simply, send a friend request on MySpace, become a fan on Facebook, or follow on Twitter. All of existing friends, fans and followers at the beginning of the contest were automatically entered to win this random drawing. The deadline for entry is July 31, 2009. Shortly thereafter, the winner will be notifed on his or her social networking profile.
