G.A.P Adventures Makes National Geographic Traveler's Top Tours of a Lifetime List

Toronto, Canada, May 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- G.A.P Adventures is pleased to announce that National Geographic Traveler magazine has selected G.A.P Adventures' Voodoo Trail as one of their Top Tours of a Lifetime for 2009. National Geographic Traveler lists 50 tours in three categories - active, classic and cultural. All the tours are affordable, sustainable and authentic. This is G.A.P Adventures' third time on the list.

"It is very encouraging that National Geographic Traveler is continuing to highlight companies who are on the cutting edge of innovative travel. Our Voodoo Trail tour is an explorative journey into a culture that is widely misunderstood, and with G.A.P Adventures, travellers get the rare opportunity to learn first hand what this amazing tradition is all about," said Bruce Poon Tip, CEO of G.A.P Adventures.

The Voodoo Trail tour is a 16 day journey through the elusive villages of West Africa. Travellers will hike through mountains and forests, visit with African royalty and witness the dances, trances and rituals of the Voodoo religion. Starting out in Lome, Togo, and ending in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, the tour visits African cities, towns and villages that have evolved with an eclectic mix of traditional African and European influences.
