5c-Mobile Introduces Version 3.0 of PINA, the Only Mobile and Social Destination Marketing Platform and Mobile Travel Guide for Tourism Destinations

PINA, destination marketing platform and mobile travel guide for tourism destinations, will be available on mobile internet, social networks and the extended desktop.

Leipzig, Germany, May 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- For the upcoming 2009/10 winter season 5C-Mobile plans to launch version 3.0 of PINA.

All the information of the mobile multi-lingual guide, currently available on 320 mobile phones, will then also be available as mobile website, widget (software tool) for internet browsers and desktop as well as for integration into social networks like Facebook and MySpace.

As a comprehensive travel guide PINA offers the full spectrum of the destination's activities, services and offerings to the guest at any time (and anywhere) in his mother tongue for free. The software currently has the following functions: interactive area map with all lifts, slopes, huts and recreational activities, operating hours and opening status of all lifts and slopes, emergency numbers, slope rules for the safety on the slopes, avalanche service, schedule of shuttle buses, weather, snow depths, events and overview of local service providers. In winter 2008/09 PINA was in use with great success on the Alpe di Siusi in South Tyrol, at Monterosa Ski, Italy's largest ski resort, on Schmitten in Zell am See (Austria) and in Brigels, Switzerland.

In the new version webcam images, videos and messages of the destination will be integrated. The main novelty, however, lies in the output of the data. PINA will be available for the guest on a multitude of channels: on mobile phones, in the browser for use with the leading providers of personalized start pages like iGoogle, Windows Live, Yahoo!, on the PC as a Vista- and Opera-widget, on Mac for the Apple Dashboard, and for integration into blogs and social networks like Twitter, MySpace, Facebook.

"We increase the reach of PINA enormously. With the new version of PINA the most current information from the tourist destinations is immediately and easily accessible for the guest across all relevant channels. 5C-Mobile offers the destinations a solution that allows them to inform and bind their guests in the media they actively use," says Tilman Sobek, Director of Marketing and Sales at 5C-Mobile.

5C-Mobile, specialist in Mobile Business and Social Media, develops, programs, and distributes a diverse portfolio of mobile and social applications and contents, and consults along the entire digital value chain.
