OnState Announces New Features to Its Virtual Call Center and Virtual PBX Products

Mobile Call Center Support Using an iPhone or BlackBerry Leads the Way in New Feature Set

Newburyport, MA, May 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- OnState Communications, a provider of on-demand virtual PBX and virtual call center business communications systems, today announced that it has released new product features that enrich its business presence™ monitoring system, enhance client ease-of-use, and extend device support. In addition to a number of dashboard and performance enhancements, key new features in this release are the addition of OnState Mobile, real-time account tracking on a centralized dashboard, and SIP phone support.

OnState Mobile Virtual Call Center
The addition of OnState Mobile extends OnState's virtual PBX and virtual call center capabilities to iPhone and BlackBerry mobile phone devices. OnState Mobile tracks the business presence of your remote or traveling employees, who can now use an iPhone or BlackBerry to participate as part of your call center operation. With this new feature employees can directly receive incoming customer calls on a mobile phone, transfer the call to another employee in the company, or act as a secondary support resource to your core sales and customer support teams.

Account Status Tracking and Notification
OnState call center managers can now view pertinent account information on a centralized dashboard. Available information that includes the total number of user licenses purchased and configured is displayed along with existing account credit balance, which is required to make or receive public switched telephone network (PSTN) calls. Other resources available on this dashboard include the number of users licensed for call logging, customer support chat, and use of the autodialer.

Support for SIP Desktop Phones
While OnState customers handle the majority of calls using a softphone based on Skype, SIP, or Google Apps, the new release of OnState's software supports a range of SIP desktop phones. Supported SIP phone models include Polycom's IP-301, IP-501, and IP-601 phones, and Grandstream's GXP 2000 and GXP 2020 phones. These models represent some of the most commonly used SIP phones in the office environment.

The new release and feature additions to OnState's virtual PBX and virtual call center software also increase the firm's business presence lead. By using OnState's business presence monitoring capabilities, managers are informed in real-time where an employee is and how to best reach them.

“The addition of Mobile OnState in this release solidifies our business presence lead, and allows for more efficient and effective customer communications,” said Pat Kelly, CEO of OnState. “With our business presence feature, the onus is removed from the customer to find the proper employee with which to speak, and is placed on the system. Whether an employee is seated at a desk with a physical phone, using a laptop-based softphone, out of the office on a mobile phone, available for chat through instant messaging, or unavailable, OnState's skills-based routing, combined with our business presence tracking, will determine what the inbound customer is seeking and find the proper company employee to assist them.”
