Go Large Records Shares Industry Secrets with New Division

A new pilot program consisting of one on one time with an industry expert has been developed for the DIY (Do It Yourself) artist to get the advice that he or she needs from industry experts. Advice that would costs hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Advice that only attorneys and major labels used to provide to their signed artists.

Los Angeles, CA, June 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Go Large Records has once again expanded its programming for musicians that need extra help but do not have extra cash or investor backing to assist them in getting to the next level. They are sharing their industry secrets with all musicians on a consultation basis.

Go Large Records has gotten musicians to perform at big venues and even assisted artis with getting their music on CSI, The Hills, icarly! and other TV shows.

“We get artists on a daily basis that want to know where to send their demo to get airplay, how to secure a record deal, how to book a show that actually pays them, even how to order a ring tone or get a digital distribution deal,” Derek Jiles, VP of marketing said. “Imagine if you had the same answers that a big label would give you. Many artists do not know that for $40.00 you can digitally distribute your music to over 6000 online sites that a record label would, in what they call a distro deal and your penalty for not knowing this is that they take your precious publishing rights.”

The consulting component of the label and media entertainment firm has been designed to help artists retain their rights, where they belong, in the artists hands. Go Large Records will offer advice from the industry experts at an affordable cost to all musicians that want to get their music into the stores, get on the air, get a record deal, get press and promotions, get a paid gig, get on Warped Tour, CMJ or Southwest By Southwest, get the music into a TV or film among other secrets that major labels and attorneys have held in confidence for years.

“We designed this as a low cost alternative to the idea that musicians have of the way it used to be,” Mila Ramos, Executive Director said. “Labels used to sign artists and pay them big advances and give them a tour bus. That way of music life is over and we are here to help with the new process and method in this industry. “

Consultations can be purchased by the hour, by the block or by the project. Recently an artist wanted to get on a tour and tried for four years by themselves to do it. After two consultations, they learned the ‘secret’ of getting on a tour. Another artist wanted to learn how to get a paid gig when all the other rappers are doing showcasing. Again, the ‘secret’ was revealed.

“We get tons of artists that don’t know where to turn or whom to ask these questions to and just want to get a manager, but almost no one is working off of commission these days,” Ramos said. “We want to be able to provide legitimate advice to those that need it to save them money and time.”
