SQM and North Americans Count Sheep Rather Than Bugs

What do North Americans rank as the most important items in a hotel room? A recent survey conducted by Sensors Quality Management shows interesting results.

Toronto, Canada, July 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Most people prefer to count sheep in bed, not bugs. In a recent survey of 2,000 North Americans, 40% of the people said a bed and pillows were items in hotel rooms that they cannot live without. More specifically, it’s a clean, comfortable, and bug-free bed that’s needed.

In second place, 15% of people cannot live without a TV. Whether it’s the news, movies, local television, or late-night entertainment, the TV is definitely one of the necessities for North American travelers.

Tied for third place are the hairdryer and Internet access. A hairdryer may be used to dry and style beautiful hair, but the Internet may be used for just about everything. Travel information, stock market news, tips for hair styling or step-by-step instructions for exterminating bed bugs; who knows? These may come in handy when traveling.
