Timeshare Relief Gives Back to the Community and Its Charities of Choice

Timeshare Relief Inc. provides an innovative and proven way for timeshare owners who want to get rid of their timeshares. Now, the company has expanded their scope in helping their community with donations to four large "Charities of Choice" that are among the favorites of the co-founders of Timeshare Relief.

Torrance, CA, July 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Timeshare Relief Inc., an organization founded in 2004 by David MacMillan and Cindy Martin MacMillan recently made charitable donations to four large charities they like to call their "Charities of Choice." The funds were disbursed to four charities the MacMillans hold near and dear to their hearts: Habitat for Humanity International, City of Hope, The Mayo Clinic, and the Humane Society of the United States. These four charities were designated "Charities of Choice" because of their broad impact on so many lives in so many ways.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry with the goal "to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action." Founded in 1976, the organization has successfully built more than 300,000 homes around the world, helping to shelter 1.5 million people of all different backgrounds, races, and religions in 3,000 different communities, working in partnership with families in need.

City of Hope is an independent medical and research institution located near Los Angeles, California, dedicated to finding treatments and cures for cancer and other life-threatening diseases, treating patients in both body and soul, providing compassionate care, and transforming the world of medicine to give people new hope.

The Mayo Clinic, with locations in Rochester, Minnesota; Scottsdale, Arizona; and Jacksonville, Florida; unites nearly 50,000 doctors, nurses, scientists, researchers, and other allied health staff in a common mission: to provide diagnosis, treatment, answers, and research to and for more than 500,000 people every year in many surgical and medical specialties "all as a not-for-profit group practice dedicated to putting the needs of the patient first and foremost" above all else.

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), founded in 1954, is the leading animal protection and advocacy group within the United States. Its mission is "to celebrate animals and confront cruelty." The HSUS works to advocate for local humane societies and "to protect animals through legislation, litigation, investigation, education, science, advocacy, and field work." In addition, the HSUS operates many shelters or animal sanctuaries to give care to and find homes for animals directly.

The MacMillans firmly believe supporting these charities to be just as important as running their business, Timeshare Relief, because both their business goals and their personal philosophies are focused on helping others.

"Timeshare Relief has helped tens of thousands of owners within the timeshare community over the years," added Cindy Martin MacMillan, co-founder of Timeshare Relief. "It's been a pleasure to positively affect so many lives and to broaden the effect by giving back to the community at large with these 'Charities of Choice.'"

The MacMillans stress that this donation is just the beginning of their support for their designated Charities of Choice.

"We are contributing to our Charities of Choice because one day we all are not going to be here any longer, and what really matters is to leave the world a slightly better place than how we found it," said David MacMillan, co-founder of Timeshare Relief. "All our Charities of Choice subscribe to such a philosophy and go the extra mile. We're proud to associate ourselves with them and commit to an on-going cycle of contributions to these fine organizations."

Timeshare Relief, started when David MacMillan and Cindy Martin MacMillan discovered the difficulty associated with getting rid of a timeshare property when it no longer served their needs. The timeshare resale market was almost non-existent. Since 2004, the MacMillans have helped more than 25,000 timeshare owners execute exit strategies to rid them of the burden of ownership and the ongoing maintenance fees and special assessments.
