)-- Val Fujii, a local fitness expert and owner of Superwomen Boot Camp, is proud to announce that one of his campers will be participating in the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in Seattle, Washington, benefiting Susan G. Komen For The Cure. One in eight women will get diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
The Breast Cancer 3-Day is an amazing 60-mile journey that helps mothers, sisters, spouses, and friends get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. The event takes place September 11th-13th.
“Each walker has to raise a minimum of $2,300 in order to participate in the event, “ says Fujii. Fujii goes on to say, “Kellie McNair, who is one of my boot campers, and her team of three other fabulous women, have raised $13,000 so far. Their goal is to reach $15,000.” The name of their team is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boobs.
Of the proceeds for this walk, 85% will go directly to Susan G. Komen for breast cancer research. The rest goes towards education and lobbying efforts supported by the national philanthropic trust.
Superwomen Boot Camp is donating 100% of the proceeds to their cause.
