Mr. Walter I. Jones Named to Ezenia! Inc. Board of Advisors

Nashua, NH, July 31, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Ezenia, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: EZEN.OB), a leading provider of real time solutions for situation sensitive and mission critical applications in corporate, government and commercial networks, announced today that BGen. Walter I. Jones (USAF-Retired) has been appointed to the Ezenia Board of Advisors (BOA). The first meeting of the BOA was held on July 08, 2009 in the Ezenia office facility located in Sterling, Virginia.

Mr. Jones, as the Chief Executive Officer of ExecuTech Strategic Consulting, has laid out a clear and aggressive vision for the growth of this Service Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to operate in the Federal/Civilian, DOD, and Intelligence areas of the government. Using his proven record of executive leadership in three Combatant Commands, Major Command, Group and Squadron levels of Information Technology leadership, he clearly has command of the diverse and challenging problems facing Operational as well as Chief Information Officers (CIO) as they seek to move legacy applications, systems and networks into a net-centric environment.

He has led the creation of IT organizations at Air Mobility Command, USTRANSCOM and USJFCOM with IT portfolios valued in excess of $1.0 billion over the FYDP and produced phenomenal results that are recognized even today as "world class." At both USTRANSCOM and USJFCOM, his Information Assurance operations were recognized as the DOD winner of the National Security Agency's Frank B. Rowlett Trophy. The award recognizes the agency with the best Information Security Program and the most secure network in the Federal Government.

“I have been very much aware of the InfoWorkSpace product line from Ezenia, since my early days at Joint Forces Command. I’ve seen its growth and reputation in terms of functionality, performance, and effectiveness over the years,” stated General Jones. “I know for a fact that the end-users among the Warfighters and the Intelligence Community have had a strong sense of loyalty and satisfaction with InfoWorkSpace as well as a high degree of respect for the nimbleness that Ezenia has exhibited all these years, especially in the Field Services and Customer Support, as recently demonstrated with the Air Force award of 2 service contracts and renewal of licenses. I am confident that there are numerous opportunities within the Federal, Civilian, DOD, and Intelligence areas of the government that could benefit from such deployments of InfoWorkSpace.”

“Following the 2002 Millennium Challenge exercise, during our work in 2003 and 2004 to support the deployment of InfoWorkSpace at Joint Forces Command (FCOM), I have the opportunity and honor to be introduced to General Jones, then the Chief Information Officer at JFCOM. In 2004 and 2005, JFCOM became the largest user base of InfoWorkSpace, supporting the Warfighters across many continents,” stated Mr. Khoa Nguyen, Ezenia Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Such a large scale deployment would not have been possible without the decisiveness, leadership and support of General Jones. In addition to steady enhancements to InfoWorkSpace, as Ezenia plans to expand its offerings with new products, General Jones’ hands-on experience and deep knowledge of the environment and requirements by the Warfighters and the Intelligence Community bring a new dimension of in-depth understanding, focus, and appreciation to Ezenia and our team.”
