Record Label Seeks Non-Profit Autism Organization in Need of Donations

Independent record label and publisher, Crater Rock Music, is currently looking for a non-profit organization to which contributions will be made through a percentage of profits from sales of the upcoming Theory of Mind (TM) international CD debut.

Hampton, VA, September 04, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Virginia-based independent record label and publishing company, Crater Rock Music, is preparing to release the international debut CD by Theory of Mind. They are looking for a non-profit organization that actively advocates and promotes the acceptance of autism as a difference, not a condition in need of a cure. The selected organization will receive a percentage of the profits from the CD sales.

About Theory of Mind:
Theory of Mind is the trade name used for the musical endeavors of Tony Belcastro, a high-functioning autistic savant with Bipolar Disorder, Tourette's Syndrome and Dyscalculia. Tony is an experienced and talented composer and musician that has played music for over 30 years and has been a recording artist for over 20 years. He plays piano, guitar, bass and a variety of other instruments in an assortment of genres including blues, jazz, rock and classical. The music of Theory of Mind combines these genres into an instrumental progressive rock, or progressive fantasy rock category. All of the music on the CD was composed, performed and recorded by Tony Belcastro.

The Purpose of the CD:
According to Tony, the Theory of Mind debut “is a collection of songs that was initially intended to be a tribute to autism; a musical revelation of the often hidden deep inner workings of an autistic mind. However, after a short period of time I began to see the project as a personal exploration of my own world. Despite many thoughts about abandoning the project for various reasons, the reactions described by the few people who listened to it encouraged me to continue. As production neared completion, I began to feel a new confidence that I had never experienced previously. It is my hope that this project will not only encourage other autistic people to confidently pursue dreams that may seem unattainable, but also help bridge a connection between many autistic and non-autistic people who may otherwise find connecting with others to be difficult, or sometimes even impossible.”

It is Tony's hope and the hope of Crater Rock Music that they will be able to find a suitable autism organization to which to contribute so that the music of Theory of Mind may directly, or indirectly benefit as many people as possible.

More Information:
Only one organization will be selected. Interested organizations need to contact Yvonne Smith before September 30, 2006; the CD release is planned for no later than November 7, 2006. For more information about Tony Belcastro and Theory of Mind please visit http://theory-of-mind-music.com.
