Victoria, Canada, August 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Canadian Expat Association has announced its search for the Most Influential Canadian Expat in the World.

The CEA has begun collecting nominations to be later voted on in October of this year.

There are an estimated 2.7 million Canadians living and working around the globe. This population is made up of extremely well educated, linguistically adept, culturally articulate and some of the most successful networks in the world. “One of the primary goals of the association is to demonstrate to Canada the contributions that these individuals make to both Canada and the world.” Says Allan Nichols, founder and president of the CEA. “Literally billions of dollars in bilateral trade can be attributed directly and indirectly to Canadians living abroad. These people are creating jobs for Canadians and revenue for Canadian companies. The search for the Most Influential Canadian Expat in the World is an effort to recognize some of the stars out there.”

Anyone can submit names for nomination. On October 1st, a condensed list of the top names will be put out for a vote. Again, voting will be open to all.
