About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

Earth’s North and South poles are changing at an alarming rate. Scientist, Sampson Gould, heads a voyage into hyperspace, His mission? To find a habitable planet for Earth’s population.

While exploring a snowy planet, Sampson loses his beloved Captain Mora, in an Avalanche. Common sense tells him she’s dead, but he goes back to the cold side of Cinta, to search for her. He finds nothing.

Sampson finds Alta, a suitable planet for Earth’s population, but Mora haunts his dreams. She reaches out to him, begging him to rescue her. Sky, a human inhabitant of Alta, accompanies Sampson to Cinta, and finds Mora with the use of mind-power.

Sampson and Mora are reunited, and settle on the planet Alta, with the rest of Earth’s population. There’s only one problem. The Tsee humanoids and Nadiran people of Alta have established laws. Former Earthmen constantly break the laws in pursuit of power, forbidden on Alta. Tsees and Nadirans punish offenders, using mind-power. Sampson is intrigued by the mystery of how humans acquired mind-power. In the end, he learns the origin of Nadiran people, and their mind-power, and uses the secret to solve all of their problems.

About the Author

When author Marla A. Martin lived in Canada many years ago, she began to wonder about the mysterious stories of airplane disappearances in the triangle in which she lived. She's had many poems published online, and in poetry books. She continues continue to write science fiction, her favorite genre.
