IanAndWendy.com Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Your favorite traveling duo celebrates 10 years of www.IanAndWendy.com. Millions of visitors have “traveled along” with Ian and Wendy as they’ve traveled the world, bringing you the best sights, tours, hotels, restaurants and more.

Santa Rosa, CA, September 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- It started with a handful of photos and a desire to share their love of travel with others. Now, 10 years later almost half a million people from 215 different countries visited www.IanAndWendy.com last year alone. That handful of initial photos has expanded to include pictures of many of the 51 countries to which Ian and Wendy have traveled together, and now numbers almost 9,000 and counting.

The site now also includes a blog with Ian and Wendy’s reviews of hotels, motels, hostels and other types of accommodation, information on tours, and restaurants. Recently, www.IanAndWendy.com joined Facebook and Twitter. Wendy explains, “We’re always looking for new ways to connect with others around the globe who share our passion for travel!”

From how to find cheap guest houses in St. Maarten to Club Med Kani in the Maldives, enjoying Chinese acrobats in Beijing or brandy tasting in Oregon, Ian and Wendy offer the avid traveler advice and inspiration and the armchair traveler a chance to tour the world from the comfort of their living room. “We really had no idea what it would grow to become,” said Wendy Sewell. “We just love to travel and we thought why not have our own website where we can put our photos up so our friends and family can see them? We never thought it would reach so far or so many people! ”

To celebrate their site’s tenth anniversary, the couple will be posting a series of blogs over the next ten weeks. These new entries will highlight ten of the couple’s favorite old sights. First up? 2,000 year-old Pompeii: http://www.ianandwendy.com/travel/favorites/ten-years-young.htm.

So what will the next ten years hold for www.IanAndWendy.com ? More travel, of course. The couple plans to continue to visit new countries and looks forward to continuing to share their experiences with others.
