Bob and Penny Lord Release Little Treasures Catholic Books Online with Complimenting DVDs

Morrilton, AR, October 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Bob and Penny Lord have recently developed a premise to focus on various individual Saints through DVDs and Little Treasures. Little Treasures are individual booklets on the lives of particular Saints. Additional information on these Saints can be found by combining Little Treasures booklets with the DVDs. It gives an opportunity to follow up the DVD with a sharing, a life experience, meaning how people relate to that Saint or further information on the Saint.

For example, these Little Treasures provide a means to highlight the life of, let's say, St. Therese of Lisieux, or St. Jean Vianney, the Cure of Ars, in this year of the Priest.

His Holiness, Pope Benedict, invites all Christians to learn about this great Saint, Jean Vianney, the Patron of Parish Priests. His life is very exciting, as well as inspirational for those who followed after him. He had many challenges in his life as a priest, some that would make a weaker man walk away and give up. Saint Jean Vianney never did.

The same could be said of the Little Flower, St. Therese of Lisieux. The DVD covers her life, but for some more insights on the life of the Saints, the Little Treasure of St. Therese pays in depth attention to her life and spirituality. Religious and secular women can find attributes of a role model by focusing on the virtues of St. Therese of Lisieux.

Moreover, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, who was beatified in 1992, is a particular example of a role model for young men, also greatly admired Pope John Paul II. The spiritual guide has so much to share on the life of this vibrant young man, who was both spiritual and very human, who had a great joy for life, but a greater love for our Church and its Sacraments, in particular, Our Lord Jesus in the Eucharist. The DVD program whets the appetite to learn more about this fascinating character. The Little Treasure booklet gives more insight into his life.

There are many powerful priests that need to be shared, especially in this year of the Priest, St. Don Bosco, Bl. Miguel Pro, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Francis de Sales, and many more, including a role model from the 19th century, St. Gaspar del Bufalo.

Little is known about Saint Gaspar in the United States, but he is the founder of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, which has communities all over the world. But one of his greatest traits was his bravery in standing up to Napoleon Bonaparte, who demanded an oath of loyalty of all priests in Italy. This young priest only ordained two years at the time, stood up and shouted "I cannot! I must not! I will not!" that led to prison sentences. He outlasted Napoleon and went on to become a great missionary for the Lord.

He was such a powerful Saint that when Pope John XXIII was about to convene Vatican II, he went to the shrine of St. Gaspar, near the Fountain of Trevi in Rome, and prayed for his intercession and protection for the Vatican Council. The DVD program tells much of this story, but the Little Treasure follows it up with so much more on the life of this Saint.

There are so many Saints to share, through the television programs, DVDs, and the short biographies of their lives, the Little Treasures.

Little Treasures are available on all of the Super Saints. This concept has excited friends and supporters of Bob and Penny Lord. The initial reaction has been extremely good. Schools, Adult Education classes, CCD classes, as well as Home Schoolers use the DVDs and booklets.
