Celebrate the Holidays "Philadelphia Style" with the Independence Visitor Center Corporation

Philadelphia, PA, November 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The holiday season is upon us, and the Independence Visitor Center, located at 6th & Market Streets, invites visitors and locals to get into the holiday spirit. Stop by the Visitor Center to experience a bit of holiday fun with our upcoming activities.

The Independence Visitor Center wants to know our visitor’s top ten ways to entertain their family in Philadelphia during the holiday season. Residents and visitors can submit their favorite holiday photos and suggestions for how to spend the holiday season in the Greater Philadelphia area to Holidays@IndependenceVisitorCenter.com. All of the ideas submitted will be featured in the special Holiday section of the Independence Visitor Center website. Visitors are encouraged to log onto their website, www.independencevisitorcenter.com/holidays, to learn about some of Philadelphia’s best-kept holiday traditions.

Other free events taking place at the Independence Visitor Center this holiday
season include:

· Free Holiday Concerts: Throughout the month of December, visitors and residents are invited to enjoy the heart-warming sounds of the holidays as local choirs and musical groups perform live at the Visitor Center.
· 2009 Winter Coat Drive: The Independence Visitor Center is helping those less fortunate to stay warm this holiday season, with our annual Coat Drive. For the month of December, visitors are invited to drop off new or semi-used coats for donation.
· Free Gift Wrapping: After holiday shopping, visitors are invited stop by the Independence Visitor Center every weekend in December for free gift wrapping.

All holiday events at the Visitor Center are free and open to the public.
