CRA, Inc. Awarded $650,000 from Department of Homeland Security for Target Capabilities List Course Alignment Project

Alexandria, VA, November 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- DHS/FEMA awarded CRA, Inc. the contract for its National Preparedness Directorate’s (NPD’s) National Integration Center (NIC) Target Capabilities List Course Alignment Project (TCL-CAP). This contract provides logistical, managerial, administrative, and consultative services for the TCL project. The TCL project is vital for ensuring that all courses available through the DHS National Preparedness Directorate provide the level of training to ensure increased preparedness against all-hazards for our nation. “The purpose of the TCL-CAP is to ensure that all courses provided through the NIC are appropriately mapped to the TCL and are consistent with other designated protocols and standards as required by Homeland Security Presidential Directive #8 (HSPD-8), and new courses are developed to address identified gaps in training.”

CRA managed the previous TCL Project for the NIC’s Training and Exercise Integration Division (TEID) and, under this new contract, will continue to develop capability-based training frameworks and map DHS/FEMA courses to the appropriate capabilities. The TCL-CAP will also document gaps in the existing training offered, standardize course material, increase efficiency in developing new courses, and eliminate duplication of effort.
