The plot

This is the synopsis of the new Armadillo video for this autumn - a collection of over-the-top and fun stunts; shot in high definition and super slo-mo. The ad aims to glorify the style and the technical quality of the garments.

Production Team
The viral was shot on the urban backstreets of London using a globally acclaimed creative team. The creative team behind the project is the Amsterdam based Italian/Spanish duo Ham & Kaas, the viral was produced by Stink Ltd, working together with the British Directing Team Darkfibre. Armadillo Communication Strategy
Armadillo is unique in its approach to communication – always striving to be at the forefront of the scooterwear apparel market. From the outset, the brand has derived its influences from the world of fashion and culture, positioning itself as a stylish, urban alternative to the motorcycle & scooter clothing brands currently on the market.

The core objective of the viral is to continue building credibility and brand awareness among scooter riders in the global marketplace, through the use of the web and social media channels. UK based Digital Agency POD1 will be responsible for seeding the viral to consumers

The viral will be available on http://www.armadilloscooterwear.com/toughenough from 10th November 2009.

Editor’s Notes:

Ham & Kaas Credentials
For the last 8 years, the duo has been working in advertising, while directing music videos and short films. To this day it is still not clear which one of the two is Ham and which one is Kaas. Ham (or Kaas) was born in Malaga, Spain and has a background in visual arts; Kaas (or Ham) was born in Milan, Italy and has a background in literature and theatre.

Stink
Touching the surface of Stink’s strong and eclectic roster you will see names such as Ivan Zacharias, Lionel Goldstein, Stylewar and Ne-o. Many new directors have joined the stink roster and with the launch of Stink Digital and Stink Animation in 2007 and the development of Stink films, the company is constantly expanding its creative boundaries and exploring new avenues.

Stink’s position as one of the best production companies in the world is bolstered by its ever-growing collection of industry accolades – recently being awarded The Grand Prix in the Film category in Cannes Lions 2009 as wells as Boards Magazine’s Production Company of the Year 2008.

Music
Canadian duo Lullabye Arkestra is Kat Taylor-Small and Justin Small. Formed in 2001, Lullabye Arkestra has always had the heart, soul and sweat of Kat and Justin at its core.

Brought together by love, they are bound by and to the music. It’s music by lovers, for fighters. When Kat picks up her bass and Justin gets behind the drums, the result is dirty, swaggering rock ‘n’ roll. The result is beautiful.
