JBISoft Inc. Will Exhibit jbiFusion at the Counter-IED Symposium December 1-3, 2009 at the Gaylord National Hotel in Washington, DC

JBISoft, Inc., a professional services, research and development company announced today the plan to exhibit the latest application of jbiFusion™ (java based integration Fusion) solution at the upcoming Counter-IED Symposium (https://www.ncsi.com/cied09/index.shtml).

Fairfax, VA, November 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Counter-IED Symposium will focus on advancing research and technology to prevent IEDs and collaboration - ranging from protection of critical infrastructure to sharing information with DoD, federal, state, and local partners - have become the key focus areas anticipated to play the most significant role in the counter-IED effort. The four main focus areas are Threat Environments: Domestic and Military Response; Applications of Social & Behavioral Science to Threat Analysis and Prevention: Research & Technology; Incident Response and Training; and Information Sharing.

JBISoft's areas of expertise include Knowledge Fusion, Information Assurance, and Collaboration. JBISoft provides a platform independent framework for the creation of intelligent agents coupled with a virtual knowledge system for solving a variety of data acquisition, correlation, and analysis problems. These automated systems result in accurate, relevant, reliable and timely intelligence. This means pro-active intelligence and complete situational awareness, allowing clients to stay ahead of the adversary in real-time war fighting, counter-terrorism, or network operational environments.

jbiFusion™ is a Java-based framework for the creation of intelligent agents and provides a virtual knowledge system for singular access to any and all data, information, and knowledge that any business needs to monitor on a daily basis. Software agents are deployed to collect and normalize data from a variety of sources. These sources can include RSS feeds, E-Mail servers, databases, and even blogs such as Twitter to name a few. Agents may interact in order to provide analytical capabilities and because of the modularity of the system, can be easily adapted or extended for a variety of applications. Since the core modules are encapsulated in libraries, user-interfaces are adaptable to many different applications and uses.

Currently, jbiFusion™ LE[1] is being used by the Department of Defense as part of an Event Management and Decision Support Assistant to provide timely data gathering, analysis, and reporting to aide in answering the Commander's Critical Information Requirements (CCIR). jbiFusion™ is performing automated search, data reduction and data correlation capabilities by transitioning raw data to actionable decision information to allow command authorities to be more effective in their situation awareness and critical decision making. Without jbiFusion™, watch officers require four to six hours for data retrieval and two to four hours to correlate incidents. With jbiFusion™, the data retrieval is reduced to only one hour and incidents are correlated within thirty minutes or less. This new capability decreases information overload, improves information discovery pertinent to a specific issue or event, greatly improves the information sharing and collaboration, and augments the ability to provide accurate and timely situational awareness.

The end result is to automatically provide answers to Who, What, When, Where and Why. By answering these key questions, the system can tremendously improve the rapid first response by getting the right information to the right people at the right time.

[1] jbiFusion™ LE is a Lite Edition which utilizes a subset of the framework
