The Day Spa Business Forum 2007 to Feature 3 Co-opetition Workshops

Day Spa Business Forum to be held during Las Vegas Day Spa Expo in February 2007.

Union City, NJ, October 18, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Co-opetition is revolutionizing the way we play the game of business. It is a mindset that combines competition and cooperation. It means cooperating to create a bigger business “pie”, while competing to divide it up. Co-opetition, a method that goes beyond the old rules of competition to combine the advantages of both.

The Day Spa Association held their first co-opetition workshop this past June during the IECSC in Las Vegas, with 5 major spa software companies participating:

Enablez, Makers of ResortSuite • Mack Software Solutions • Milano Systems • Millenium™ by Harms Software • ProSolutions Software.

Moderated by Skip Williams of Resources and Development, the workshop drew 75+ participants who were able to learn details about each program directly from the source and compare the offerings next to each other enabling them to make a better and educated decision.

“It was a high energy atmosphere of friendly competitors showing off their uniqueness. We at ProSolutions Software could not possibly have been happier with the results as the guests visited our booth after the competition. We only wish we could participate in these competitions more frequently!” – Matthew Wiggins, ProSolutions Software, Inc.

“Because of the tremendous success and the great feedback we received from both, the participating vendors and their audience, we will be featuring this computer workshop again at the Day Spa Business Forum 2007 to be held during the Day Spa Expo 2/21-23, and have expanded the concept to the subjects of Credit Card Processing and Gift Certificates,” explains Hannelore Leavy, Executive Director and innovator of this educational concept.

“I am excited and thank you for making it possible for the DSA to offer this unique learning concept to attendees at the Day Spa Expo!” Roger Metz – Card Service International.
