UCF Student Wins $3000 Scholarship at 2010 Miss Orlando Scholarship Pageant

An Orlando woman has claimed the title of Miss Orlando. Vicky DiSanto, a 20-year-old junior majoring in musical theatre at the University of Central Florida, will represent the city at the Miss Florida Pageant in St. Petersburg, FL this July.

Orlando, FL, January 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- An Orlando woman has claimed the title of Miss Orlando in a pageant held Saturday night January 9th at Cypress Creek High School. Vicky DiSanto, a 20-year-old junior majoring in musical theatre at the University of Central Florida, will represent the city at the Miss Florida Pageant in St. Petersburg, FL this July. This was DiSanto’s first time to compete in a pageant. Her scholarship winnings total $3000 sponsored by the Gracia B. Livingston Foundation. DiSanto also won the preliminary fitness award category winning a free year membership to Gold’s gym.

Vice President, Juan Cantu, says "We are so excited to have Vicky DiSanto as our titleholder. This is an opportunity for her to make her mark in her own community and I am confident that she will do it well."

Miss Orlando is a preliminary to the Miss Florida and Miss American Pageants. The Miss America program is the largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women.
