Imonggo POS Software Releases Powerful Inventory Management Feature for Small Business

Campbell, CA, January 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Imonggo POS Software has now optimized its inventory management feature, allowing the POS to appeal to a broader range of retailers. Small retailers, in fact, are switching to Imonggo because of its advanced inventory management features not found in any competitor.

According to the Imonggo team, these features include instant stock card or transaction history that can be viewed anywhere there is Internet, physical count support, multiple barcode system, classification using tags, and many more.

Jesse Lake, owner of an apparel store in Long Beach, California, says she loves Imonggo because it is web based, allowing her to check her store's inventory through Imonggo's instant stock card or transaction history any time of the day.

"I can check what's happening in my store even when I'm at home, or if I'm on vacation," she said. "I never have to worry about products going out-of-stock, because I can access my account everywhere. I can easily order more from my suppliers even when I'm away."

Imonggo's powerful inventory management tools allow users to view on-stock or out-of-stock items, and fast-moving, slow-moving and non-moving items. It also allows her to track supplier/vendor purchases and returns, and automatically computes average cost while items are received from vendors. Physical count support is also available.

Cost history and price history, meanwhile, allows Jesse to track changes in the item's base and final prices. "This feature allows me to plan what to do for my store in the next month," she said.

Similarly, an innovation called the "multiple barcode system" allows her to easily adapt to changes in barcode from certain suppliers. Imonggo wisely solves this problem by allowing its users to assign multiple barcodes for one product.

The Imonggo team also takes pride in Imonggo being the first POS to employ the latest method in product classification. The tag system is the method used in Google, Yahoo, and a lot of blog sites to streamline items like blog posts and emails. Instead of the common top-down hierarchical classification system, these sites use tags (words, numbers, codes) to categorize every item, which allows for easy search.

In Imonggo, looking up items is made easy by searching tags. A search of the tags "red," "jeans," and "Gap," for instance, allows Imonggo users to easily view items that correspond to the tags used, i.e. red jeans from Gap.

The Imonggo team said this tag system is only one of the early innovations that they are going to put up to make Imonggo POS system a great venture for both account owners and their customers. "This is why everyone should recognize Imonggo as the most powerful inventory management software in the market today," they said.

Jesse agrees. "I think Imonggo and me will be partners for a long time," she said.
