Children Share their Smiles with Miles Smiles Competition Winner

Gloucester, United Kingdom, November 02, 2006 --(PR.com)-- The children of Milestones School joined in with Miles’s smile as they watched author and scriptwriter Jill Divine present pupil Nicole Mighee with her prize for being the winner of a colouring competition Jill held recently to promote her latest book, Miles Smiles.

Nicole’s smile spread to her classmates as she received her Miles Smiles T Shirt and mug. An autographed copy of the book Miles Smiles will be sent to her when it is published soon. Milestones also benefited from Nicole winning, as part of Nicole’s prize was to have a 15 minute stage play written by Jill to help raise school funds, and this will be performed by the students at the end of summer term.

Jill is attempting to send a Mexican wave of smiles around the world and started this wave last December on American television. To keep this wave rippling she helped the Pied Piper Appeal to pass their smile around Gloucestershire in July and then decided to write a book for children to help them understand the important of a smile and how it can help them.

Miles Smiles tells the story of Miles the clown whose smile has been stolen and how he must walk miles and miles to photograph happy people so that he can fill his balloon with their smiling faces and let their laughter burst out and wipe away his frown.

This book will be available to buy very soon and Jill will be donating a percentage of all royalties from this book to the Pied Piper Appeal.
