Anger Management Guru to Host New Certification Training in New Jersey

For the second time since he started providing training in anger management, George Anderson, MSW, CEAP, will facilitate a live three-day anger management training seminar in the state of New Jersey.

Los Angeles, CA, March 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In March of 2010, George Anderson, the Executive Director of Anderson & Anderson, will facilitate a live three-day anger management training seminar at New Jersey City University. This training seminar is expected to have a large turnout, because Anderson & Anderson (which is based in Los Angeles, California) only provides onsite training seminars (outside of its offices) for groups made of thirty participants or more. Mr. Anderson says that this training seminar is designed to prepare new anger management facilitators and providers for helping their clients Communicate assertively, manage their Anger and Stress, and enhance their Emotional Intelligence (Empathy). These components comprise the Anger Management CASE model. In addition to being taught how to effectively facilitate anger management groups, each trainee will get to experience what it feels like to be an anger management client through role play and other group activities that Mr. Anderson will moderate.

This training seminar will take place on the days of March 18th, 19th, and 20th of 2010. On March 18th, trainees will be taught how to work with the adolescent population. Due to issues that are oftentimes unique to this population (usually ages 13 to 17), Mr. Anderson determined early in the development of his model that training to work with adolescents should be separate from training to work with those 18 years of age or older. A unique training manual entitled “Controlling Ourselves”, along with other youth-focused ancillary material, will be used for this portion of the training. On March 19th, trainees will be taught how to work with the general anger management client, one who is 18 years of age or older. A separate manual, “Gaining Control of Ourselves”, along with additional ancillary material, will be used for this portion of the training. On March 20th, Organizational Training will be taught in a four-hour format. On this day, each trainee will be taught the importance of anger management as violence prevention in the workplace. The latter half of the day will be focused on the business aspects of providing anger management to clients. Each trainee who attends all three days of the training seminar will be given a copy of the Motivational Interviewing CD-ROM, which contains the component of the program that focuses on how to effectively interview and communicate with the anger management client.

Although the training will be hosted for New Jersey City University staff, it is open for all who are interested in becoming Anger Management facilitators and providers. Those who are interested in registering should contact Anderson & Anderson at 310-207-3591, or visit the Anderson & Anderson company web site.
