Carrollton, GA, March 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Outskirts Press, Inc. has published The Last Zinnia by Joseph B. McGinnis, Sr. The author's most recent book to date is a 6.14 x 9.21 paperback novel that is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The Last Zinnia tells the story of Franklin Delano Gault, who with his family moved to Summerton, Georgia in the 1940s. Crowded into an old cattle truck and gawking at their new surroundings, they looked “like a bunch of tourists.”

Franklin’s earliest playmates were the black children of sharecropper families, and only when school began did he come to realize the extent of the separation of the races. Through death and illness, good times and bad, the Gault family continued to grow and prosper, but Franklin never forgot his roots, even when he became the president of the local bank.

This is a story of the deep-seated beliefs, long-held values, and unwavering love of a southern family whose bonds cannot be broken.

325 pages in length, The Last Zinnia is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the fiction category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, The Last Zinnia meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $19.95.
