Gap Adventures Announces New Expansion of Its Base Camp Headquarters

Toronto, Canada, March 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Gap Adventures (www.gapadventures.com) is excited to announce an ambitious expansion of Base Camp, its downtown Toronto hub and global operations centre. The move comes as part of founder Bruce Poon Tip’s long-term vision to offer passengers deeper insight and access to the epicentre of Gap Adventures culture, while allowing them to interact closely with the tour operator’s highly-experienced, travel-obsessed CEOs (Chief Experience Officers).

As part of the expansion, Gap Adventures will close its current Toronto concept store on Thursday March 18th, 2010, when the existing lease expires. The store’s four employees will be given the opportunity to relocate to the expanded Base Camp location, where renovations will be carried out prior to the launch of the engaging new concept store.

“We love changing people’s lives with our unforgettable adventure experiences,” Poon Tip said, “and we feel this expansion will give us an opportunity to set the travel service bar even higher than we have in the past. By creating an even stronger community of dedicated travellers, we can achieve our goal of spreading happiness through travel right from our front door.”

While the new concept store is under construction, Gap Adventures passengers will be invited to beam up to the company’s Star Trek room on Base Camp’s main floor to book or discuss their trips with a knowledgeable CEO. This temporary location will be open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. And, of course, Gap Adventures offers 24/7 service by phone or online at www.gapadventures.com, allowing passengers to book trips or make inquiries any time of day or night, from anywhere in the world.
