"Reviewing the problems of corruption in government Anand Goolsarran provides a sophisticated and informative case study of Guyana. The author has done a good deal of research and brought to bear in this work his participation in the course "The Economics of Corruption" in October 2003 at the University of Passau. He has blended this, as well as the results of his research, with his rich practical experience as the head of the Legislative Audit in his country, thereby producing a "must read" for those who are involved in public financial management. The book is also suitable for students pursuing a course in public management."
