SVACA to Host Fourth Annual Adoptathon

Santa Clara, CA, April 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA) will join with thousands of animal lovers around the world for the North Shore Animal League’s annual adoptathon. Held at SVACA’s Animal Care Center, the only cageless center in the Silicon Valley, the event will take place on Saturday May 1, 2010 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at 3370 Thomas Road in Santa Clara. SVACA’s adoptable animals will be available for a $50 adoption fee which is 50% off the regular adoption fees.

“Even though our center has only been open for a little over three years, we’ll be holding our fourth annual adoptathon,” says Michael Limper, SVACA’s Shelter Manager. “Our adoptathon is geared towards families who are looking for a way to add a new companion animal and have all sorts of fun during the process.”

Admission is free and various vendors will be on hand giving away all sorts of free goodies. The Friends of SVACA will be holding a raffle during the event and local rescue groups will have animals available for adoption. There will also be complimentary snacks and refreshments, and of course, plenty of adorable and adoptable dogs, cats, rabbits, and rats.

SVACA’s adoptable animals can be viewed online at www.svaca.com. SVACA’s cageless Animal Care Center is located at 3370 Thomas Road in Santa Clara. Please contact 408-764-0344 or visit www.svaca.com for more information.
