New Seminar Series Gives Engineers and Owners the Keys to Unlocking Hydronic Balancing

Victaulic, in partnership with TA, brings the TA Hydronic College to 12 cities across North America.

Easton, PA, April 19, 2010 --( After a successful kick-off event at the new Cowboy’s Stadium on April 6, Victaulic and Tour & Andersson have announced the remaining 2010 event dates in the TA Hydronic College series for design engineers and facility owners.

In practice, even the most sophisticated controllers don’t always perform as promised. Only through balancing can potential problems be identified and corrected. Through the seminar series, which is sponsored by Victaulic in partnership with Tour & Andersson, engineers and facility owners will learn the key conditions required for hydronic balancing, to meet the goal of providing the desired indoor climate at the lowest energy cost. Attendees will benefit from a detailed overview of the theory and practical application of hydronic design and balancing, and the “key conditions” needed to meet challenges:
· Key Condition 1: Design Flow Availability
o Sources of Imbalance
o The Costs of Discomfort
o Balancing Methods for Hydronic Modules
· Key Condition 2: Differential Pressure Variations
o Control Loops and Control Valve Authority
o Control Valve Sizing and Differential Pressure Control
· Key Condition 3: Compatibility Between Flows
o Obtaining Correct Room Temperature at Optimized Energy Costs
o Solutions and False Solutions
o Optimizing Production and Distribution Flows

Seminars will be followed by individually scheduled “Lunch and Learn” events which will build on the seminar and take a deeper look at the three keys to balancing, and provide in-house training sessions.

“Victaulic has a long history of providing innovative products and industry solutions,” said Gary Moore, Executive Vice President for Victaulic. “By partnering with Tour and Andersson on the TA Hydronic College, we are continuing that commitment by providing educational opportunities and resources that will allow engineering professionals to make informed decisions on hydronic balancing that will directly impact their business.”
