iCohere Selected to Present on Hybrid/Virtual Meetings at HSMAI's Affordable Meetings National

Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has selected iCohere to present a main session at their HSMAI's Affordable Meetings National in Washington, D.C., September 8, 2010.

Washington, DC, May 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- iCohere has been selected to present a main session at this year's Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI).

Affordable Meetings® National & Event Technology Expo(TM) in Washington, DC – September 8-9, 2010. iCohere will be demonstrating its iCohere 8 Collaboration Platform for virtual events.

The presentation will include live demonstrations of recent virtual meetings held by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the U.S. Forest Service (USFS).

The session is entitled "Hybrid/Virtual Meetings – EXTEND Your Meeting’s Success to New Audiences"

Face-to-face meetings and conferences can be extended online. Remote participants can have an engaging experience, almost as good as “being there.” This session will explore the concepts behind virtual meeting extensions, and demonstrate two case studies. The U.S. Forest Service Sustainable Operations Summit included 200-person meeting was held
in Portland, OR and was also extended to 500 Forest Service employees nationwide. The ASAE Summit on Social Responsibility had 400 attendees with another 400 online worldwide.

Questions to be addressed include:

- How do we extend our meetings to reach out to virtual participants worldwide?

- What sort of social engagement tools are available?

- How much revenue can be generated from remote participants? How are tradeshow areas handled?

Lance A. Simon, iCohere's VP Business Development, will be the presenter. "iCohere is proud to be participating and presenting at HSMAI's national conference," says Mr. Simon. "We know that meeting planners have traditionally been a bit leery of online meetings, but that is changing now. Meeting organizers are discovering that rather than 'cannibalizing' on-site attendance, virtual conference extensions reach out to those who could not otherwise attend, allowing them to learn, socialize -- and buy."

Who attends Affordable Meetings®? Meeting professionals who represent all segments of the industry including: corporate; independent; and association planners; with the balance from government, non-profit organizations, education, medical/health care, travel agents, trade show management, event planners, wedding planners, religious organizations and military.
